Astounding turnarounds have happened since the Inauguration. Here is the video from last week of Brant Frost and Tim Day bringing deep insight into the first few days of transformation.
In late 2018, my Doctors told me that I had incurable Cancer. It was a well-established fact in the medical community that there were no documented cases of my type of cancer being cured with medical treatment. But beyond the “facts” was the truth of God, His word, and the healing power of the Holy Spirit. The doctors said it was incurable, but God cured me. When my tests showed there was no more cancer, my oncologist said she had never seen anything like it before. I guess she didn’t understand the “but God” factor.
From all diagnoses, our country had an incurable Woke virus, but God intervened. His people prayed, and God answered. We’ve seen this country turn around dramatically in the last week. An estimated 80,000 missing children have been located, we are back to officially recognizing God’s design of only two genders, and God is again recognized as the Lord of our nation. It’s “righteousness being restored” right before our eyes.
The Bible is filled with seemingly hopeless situations for people and even nations, but God turned it around. He did it over and over again for people who cried out to Him, honored Him, and put Him first. It’s still true that:
The eyes of the Lord roam throughout the earth to show himself strong for those who are wholeheartedly devoted to him. (2 Chron 16:9)
In this season of divine reversals, turnarounds, revival, and restoration, God is stirring up our faith, hope, and anticipation for more and more “But God,” occurrences. We have experienced disappointments, setbacks, and myriad challenges, but God is giving us:
Freedom for Captives
He has sent me to bind up the brokenhearted, to proclaim freedom for the captives and release from darkness for the prisoners. Isaiah 61:1
People are bound in sin, addiction, spiritual blindness, and strongholds, But God breaks chains of oppression and sets the captives free.
But God demonstrates His own love toward us, in that while we were yet sinners, Christ died for us. Romans 5:8
Beauty for Ashes
To bestow on them a crown of beauty instead of ashes, the oil of joy instead of mourning, and a garment of praise instead of a spirit of despair." Isaiah 61:3
God is in the restoration business. We may have had trials, troubles, and tribulations, But God transforms devastation into beauty and joy.
Because the patriarchs were jealous of Joseph, they sold him as a slave into Egypt. But God was with him and rescued him from all his troubles. Acts 7:9-10
Restoration of Ruins
"They will rebuild the ancient ruins and restore the places long devastated." Isaiah 61:4
God is in the remodeling business. We may have been torn down and damaged by life, But God rebuilds what was destroyed, restoring hope and strength.
But God, being rich in mercy, because of the great love with which he loved us…made us alive together with Christ…and raised us up with him and seated us with him in the heavenly places in Christ Jesus. Eph 2:4-7
Joy Instead of Mourning
The oil of joy for mourning, The garment of praise for the spirit of heaviness. Isaiah 61:3
Jesus is “a man of sorrows, acquainted with deepest grief.” Isaiah 53:3 We will have sorrow, But God turns sorrow into comfort and rejoicing.
But God, who comforts and encourages the depressed and the disquieted, comforted us. 2 Cor 7:6
He will rejoice over you with gladness, He will renew you with His love, He will rejoice over you with singing. Zeph 3:17
Divine Turnarounds
You intended to harm me, but God intended it for good to accomplish what is now being done, the saving of many lives. Genesis 50:20
My flesh and my heart may fail, but God is the strength of my heart and my portion forever. Psalm 73:26
People may fail us, circumstances may fail us, we ourselves may fail, But God never fails. He transforms situations and people.
