For All The Marbles

When I was growing up, my fingers took to the guitar easily, but for some reason they didn’t work as well with marbles. All the neighborhood kids would gather in our backyard with shooting precision, and in short order, I found myself with an empty bag because I’d lost all my marbles. People still remind me regularly that I've lost all my marbles.

Shirley next door, Dennis across the street, and me - circa 19??

Though I was discouraged by my lack of marble prowess, I never despaired because I knew the rest of the story  - the guaranteed final outcome. I had an older brother who was the neighborhood marble champion. No matter how much I lost because of my inadequacy, Phil would win it all back and I’d have a full bag of marbles to start every day.

No matter how weak or inadequate we feel, our older brother, Jesus, has won it all for us. Through His great and precious promises we have the ability to partake of the divine nature - a full bag. And His mercies are new every morning.

The next 90 days is for all the marbles. If we don't win in November against the anti-God, anti-life, perverse, woke, socialist, communist agenda, GOD WILL STILL PREVAIL; however, if the church, the Ecclesia, does not prevail, our Republic will be gone, and we'll see what we hoped to never see in our lifetime. The reign of our freedoms will yield to a reign of unlimited tyranny. Freedom of religion, speech, the right to defend ourselves, protection of our children, and many more God-given, inalienable rights will vanish. Yet, if we prevail, we will see what we have only hoped for: the greatest revival in human history, the priesthood of every true believer, and a restoration of the Holy Spirit power of the book of Acts. Jesus won back all the marbles that we lost in the fall. God has done His part. Now, what happens on Earth is up to us.

The highest heavens belong to the Lord, but the earth he has given to mankind. Psalm 115:16

If my people, who are called by my name, will humble themselves and pray and seek my face and turn from their wicked ways, then I will hear from heaven, and I will forgive their sin and will heal their land. 2 Chron 7:14

As we press into God in prayer, repentance, and obedience, we will see:

  • There are more for us than against us.

Don’t be afraid. The army that fights for us is larger than the one against us.” Then Elisha prayed, “Lord, open my servant’s eyes. Let him see. ”The Lord opened the eyes of the young man. And he saw that the mountain was full of horses and chariots of fire all around Elisha.2 Kings 6:16-17

For he will command his angels concerning you to guard you in all your ways. Psalm 91:11

If God is for us, who can be [successful] against us? Romans 8:31 AMP

  • The power of the Holy Spirit is in us.

You have overcome them, because the one who is in you is greater than the one who is in the world. 1 John 4:4

But you shall receive power when the Holy Spirit has come upon you. Acts 1:8

I pray that the eyes of your heart may be enlightened in order that you may know . . . his incomparably great power for us who believe . . . to be strengthened with power through His Spirit in the inner man.  Eph 1:18-19, 3:16

  • God’s rule and reign will be renewed on the earth.

I have heard all about you, LORD. I am filled with awe by your amazing works. In this time of our deep need, help us again as you did in years gone by. And in your anger, remember your mercy.  Habakkuk 3:2

As we pray and declare the Lord’s will, we can say about all the great moves of God in the bible and throughout history, “If then, why not now? If them, why not us?”

  • Every believer is a minister. As so many giants of the faith, Christian superstars, and celebrity pastors have fallen, God is raising up a remnant army from those who have been hidden, faithful, humble, unseen, and willingly obedient. He is also restoring the wayward who are truly repentant. It is a time for every hand on deck and every member fully engaged as a minister in the body of Christ.

Each one should use whatever gift he has received to serve others, faithfully administering God's grace in its various forms. 1 Pet 4:10

There are different kinds of gifts, but the same Spirit distributes them. There are different kinds of service, but the same Lord. There are different kinds of working, but in all of them and in everyone it is the same God at work. Now to each one the manifestation of the Spirit is given for the common good. 1 Cor 12:4-7
