Beliefs

What We

Believe

We believe all of the tenets of Spirit-Filled Evangelical Christianity including:

  • Jesus virgin birth

  • The Death, burial, and resurrection of Jesus

  • Salvation by grace through faith in Jesus Christ (Eph 2:8-9 Romans 10:9-10)

  • The Trinity - God exists in three persons, God the Father, God the Son, and God the Holy Spirit

  • The gifts of the Spirit - We believe that all of the gifts of the Spirit as illustrated by 1 Corinthians 12, Romans 12, and Ephesians 4. 1 Peter 4, are in full operation today including healing, prophesy, words of knowledge, speaking in tongues, and miracles. We believe it is the commission of every believer under the authority of Jesus (Luke 9:1, Luke 10:19, John 14:12) to heal the sick and perform deliverance in the name of Jesus

  • We believe that Jesus came to bring the kingdom of God to bear upon the earth and through the gospel of the kingdom with his death and resurrection, and restored our access to what was lost in the fall

  • We believe in a second Baptism in the Holy Spirit subsequent or coincident with water baptism

Statement

OF fAITH

THE BIBLE

WE BELIEVE  the Bible is the inspired Word of God, both the Old and New Testaments (II Timothy 3:16, Hebrews 4:12, I Peter 1:23-25, II Peter 1:19-21). We believe the Word of God brings provision for healing. Like a seed, when planted it will produce a harvest (Luke 8:11-15).

THE TRINITY

WE BELIEVE in the One God revealed in three Persons: The Father, the Son, and the Holy Spirit (Matthew 3:16, 17, Matthew 28:9, John 17).

CHRIST JESUS

WE BELIEVE that Jesus Christ of Nazareth is God who came in the flesh, born of the Virgin Mary, and that He is both fully man and fully God. (Luke 1:26-38; John 14:1-3; Acts 2:36; Acts 3:14, 15; Philippians 2:5-11; John 1:1, 14) We believe in His sinless life, in His miracles, in the vicarious and atoning death through His shed blood not only for sin but for sickness and disease (Isaiah 53:3-5, Matthew 8:16-17). We believe in His bodily resurrection, in His ascension to heaven, where he sits at the right hand of the Father making intercession for us (John 14:1-6; Romans 8:34), and in His personal return in power and glory.

HOLY SPIRIT

WE BELIEVE the Holy Spirit is the third Person of the Trinity whose purpose in the redemption is to convict of sin, regenerate, sanctify, and empower the repentant believer, guide the believer into understanding the Holy Scriptures, indwell and give gifts to the believers as He wills, that they may minister as Christ would to men. We believe that the manifestations of the Holy Spirit recorded in 1 Corinthians 12:8-11 and the importance of the fruit of the Spirit which empowers the gifts shall operate in believers today who yield to the Lord Jesus Christ. We believe a believer can be baptized in the Holy Spirit at the moment of regeneration, or anytime subsequent to his regeneration (new birth) experience. We believe that the Baptism in the Holy Spirit is for all believers as promised by John the Baptist, and was experienced by the early Disciples of Jesus. We believe that Holy Spirit baptism brings power to speak the word of God boldly, evangelize, and perform healings and all of the miraculous gifts of the Spirit (Luke 11:13; John 7:37-39, 14:16,17; Matthew 3:11; Acts 1:4,5,8; Acts 4:29-31,Acts 10:44-47, 19:1-6; Galatians 5:22-23).

MAN APART FROM GOD

WE BELIEVE that man, in his natural state, is a sinner, lost, undone, without hope, and without God (Romans 3:19-23, Galatians 3:22, Ephesians 2:1, 2, 12).

HIS BLOOD

WE BELIEVE in the saving power of the Blood of Jesus and His imputed righteousness to all who believe on Him with faith.(Acts 4:12, Romans 4:1-9, Romans 5:1-11, Ephesians 1:3-15).

THE RESSURECTION

WE BELIEVE in the bodily resurrection of Jesus Christ (Luke 24:39-43, John 20:24-29).

CHRIST'S ASCENSION AND BEYOND

WE BELIEVE that Christ Jesus ascended to the Father and is presently engaged in preparing a place for His people and interceding for them (John 14:1-6, Romans 8:34).

CHRIST'S RETURN

WE BELIEVE in the visible, bodily return of Christ Jesus to the earth to gather His Church (Bride) and judge the world (Acts 1:10, 11, I Thessalonians 4:13-18, II Thessalonians 1:7-10, James 5:8, Revelation 1:7).

SALVATION

WE BELIEVE that the terms of salvation are repentance toward God for sin, and a personal, heartfelt faith in the Lord Jesus Christ, which results in regeneration of the person. This salvation is entirely by grace of our Lord and not of works. Works are excluded EXCEPT AS FRUIT of salvation (Acts 3:19, 20, Romans 4:1-5, Romans 5:1, Ephesians 2:8-10).

THE CHURCH

WE BELIEVE the Church of the Lord Jesus Christ is a Body of believers who have been baptized in the Name of the Father, Son, and Holy Spirit; and who assemble to worship, carry forth the Great Commission, and minister as the Holy Spirit leads (Matthew 16:18, Matthew 28:19, 20, Acts 2:40-47, Ephesians 5:22-32, I Timothy 3:15).

ORDINANCES

WE BELIEVE that the two ordinances of the Church are WATER BAPTISM and COMMUNION (The Lord's Supper), (Matthew 3:15, 16, 28:19-20; Acts 8:38; Romans 6:1-4; Luke 22:13-20).

Water Baptism – Immersion in water in the Name of the Father, Son, and Holy Spirit (Matthew 3:15,16, Matthew 28:19, 20, Acts 8:38, Romans 6:1-4). A symbol of identification with Jesus Christ in His death, burial, and resurrection.

Communion – A memorial of the death, resurrection, and Second Coming of our Lord Jesus Christ (Luke 22:13-20).

HEALING

WE BELIEVE that God has given us the full provision of healing and that it is His will to heal. Though can use doctors and medicine and other material means of healing, it is God and His Word that is the healer. We believe God heals people today through prayers of faith and the laying on of hands (James 5:14-16, John 14:12). We belief that Jesus, through his death and resurrection, fully provided healing and that we access it by believing in what He has already done. Therefore, we practice praying for, declaring over, commanding healing, and delivering those who are sick in spirit, soul or body (Mark 16:18). Such healings are promised in the Scriptures. We, through faith and belief, expect to see sickness healed by the power of God in response to our prayers, commands, and declarations. (Exodus, 15;26, Isaiah 53 3-:5, 1 Peter 2;24, James 5:14-16, I Corinthians 12:9, Matthew 8:3,Mark 5:34, Mark 16:8, John 14:12, John 9:1-5, II Corinthians 12:7-9, Acts 10:38).

THE GREAT COMMISSION

WE BELIEVE that God has given the church a great commission to proclaim the Gospel to all nations (Matthew 28:18-20) so that there might be a great multitude from every nation, tribe, ethnic group, and language group who believe on the Lord Jesus Christ (Revelation 5:9).

THE UNLIMITED GENEROSITY OF GOD

WE BELIEVE in the generosity of God to all believers.  We believe that he provides for all believers. We believe his financial and material supply is unlimited. Therefore, we are to give generously of our time, talents and treasures, to release a full flow of God grace and kingdom blessings in and through us (Philippians 4:19,1 Peter 4:10, Psalm 50:10-12, Jeremiah 27:5).
