The Biden-Harris border policy has created a humanitarian crisis in America. A report introduced to Congress alleges that the Department of Health and Human Services (HHS) placed large numbers of illegally trafficked migrant children into the custody of people who had not been vetted.
HHS whistleblowers testified that they were pressured to quickly process children without consideration for their safety. The Inspector General of the HHS stated that thousands of children have been placed in homes with individuals who have not been properly vetted. One whistleblower testified that children have been placed in the homes of human traffickers. It’s now estimated that the United States Government has lost track of over 300,000 migrant children. That number increases each day.
This crisis has been further exacerbated by the countless number of children who have been lost to sex trafficking cartels. In a testimony before the House Committee of Homeland Security, Tim Ballard, a former special agent for the Department of Homeland Security in the Internet Crimes Against Children Task Force, said, “The horrors a child faces as a victim of human trafficking demand that we take action. A child can be sold up to 20 times per day, six days a week for ten years or even longer depending on when the abuse began. Poor U.S. border security and broken U.S. policy are feeding the growth of human trafficking in the United States.”
Ballard went on to say that the reckless policies of the Biden-Harris administration have transformed the Departments of Homeland Security and Health and Human Services into a “child trafficking delivery service.”
Committee Chairman Green questioned Ballard about the causes of the unprecedented volume of human trafficking across the border, asking, “Are the catch-and-release policies of Secretary Mayorkas facilitating the trafficking of people and children?” Mr. Ballard answered, “Absolutely.”
Most immigrants crossing the border illegally incur substantial debts owed to their traffickers. The repayment of those debts are enforced under threats of violence. Children are used as collateral—forced into sex slavery. Meanwhile, Democrats defend their border policy using words like safety, compassionate and humane. Allowing immigrants a pathway to be indentured by traffickers and innocent children to be funneled into the sex trade is not safe, compassionate or humane.
Under the Biden-Harris administration, our border has been decimated. This administration has funded and facilitated the illegal entry of an estimated 12+ million unvetted immigrants who gorge themselves on tax payer funded social services. But to what end?
The U.S. House of Representatives passed The SAFE ACT, which requires proof-of-citizenship for voter registration. House Democrats, with few exceptions, voted against it and the Biden-Harris administration issued a statement opposing the legislation. Furthermore, the Democrat Party platform endorses a bill, called the U.S. CITIZEN ACT, which creates a pathway to grant citizenship for illegal immigrants.
Representative David Trone, a Democrat from Maryland, claims that illegal immigrants should enjoy the same Constitutional rights as U.S. citizens. "We need to welcome all 12 million folks here now that are DACA, TPS, and undocumented,” he said, “make them citizens, and move forward. They have all the rights everybody here should have also."
For the Democrats, co-opting the illegal vote would create a significant hedge against losing the next Presidential election.
The Biden-Harris administration has not only created this crisis—they’ve gone out of their way to ignore it. In an interview with NBC’s Lester Holt, Kamala Harris reveals just how small a priority the border crisis is:
HARRIS: At some point, you know, we are going to the border, we’ve been to the border. So, this whole, this whole, this whole thing about the border, we’ve been to the border, we’ve been to the border.
HOLT: You haven’t been to the border.
HARRIS: And I haven’t been to Europe.
