Recent weeks have handed us some seismic “suddenlies.” Suddenly, the whole world saw the cognitive decline many have seen for years. Suddenly, an assassination attempt on Donald Trump was carried out. Suddenly, Biden dropped out of the presidential race.
All this was on the heels of multiple Pastors being exposed for sin or heresy and parts of whole denominations turning into “demonizations.” Since Elon Musk bought Twitter/X, and Mainstream Media was rendered irrelevant by X and a few other free-speech platforms, we see that suddenly, “all that is secret will eventually be brought into the open, and everything that is concealed will be brought to light and made known to all.” (Luke 8:17) and “For it is the time for judgment to begin with the household of God” (1 Peter 4:17).
As I was talking about this recently, an intercessor friend said, “There are a lot of graduals leading up to suddenlies.” We realized that much of the positive things we are seeing is the answer to years of prayers and faithful service of many saints. We also realized that Wokeness, moral bankruptcy, and godlessness have infiltrated our families, schools, government, churches, media, and entertainment through the long game of the enemy.
Leftists, global elites, and communists have worked for decades on the strategies of the Communist Manifesto and Saul Alinsky’s Rules for Radicals, which gives “an over-the-shoulder acknowledgment to the very first radical . . . who rebelled against the establishment and did it so effectively that he at least won his own kingdom — Lucifer.”
The Devil has been trying to overthrow God, His rule, His kingdom, and His people with long-game tactics. Students of history and culture will tell you that the success of the radical left has been the long game. As people of God, we need to realize that it is the long game that leads to the suddenlies that God will do for us and through us. We must persevere with patient persistence, long-game diligence, and God’s biblical tactics of:
Prevailing Prayer
Be joyful in hope, patient in affliction, faithful in prayer. Romans 12:12
Be unceasing and persistent in prayer. 1 Thes 5:17
Jesus told them a story showing that it was necessary for them to pray consistently and never quit. Luke 18:1
Persevering Obedience
And let us not grow weary while doing good, for in due season we shall reap if we do not lose heart. Gal 6:9
God will reward each of us for what we have done. He will give eternal life to everyone who has patiently done what is good in the hope of receiving glory, honor, and life that lasts forever. Romans 2:6-7 CEV
Blessed is the one who perseveres under trial because, having stood the test, that person will receive the crown of life that the Lord has promised to those who love him. James 1:12
I have fought the good fight, I have finished the race, I have kept the faith. Now there is in store for me the crown of righteousness. 2 Tim 4:7-8a
Persistent witnessing
Radical leftists and others fighting against God are not hesitant or timid about sharing their ideologies. As believers, we have bowed our knees to the cancel culture and remained largely silent. It was not so with the first-century believers who changed the world forever.
And when they had prayed, the place in which they were assembled was shaken; and they were all filled with the Holy Spirit, and they continued to speak the Word of God with freedom and boldness and courage. Acts 4:31
And they overcame him by the blood of the Lamb, and by the word of their testimony; and they loved not their lives unto the death. Rev 12:11
Proclaim the word; be persistent whether it is convenient or inconvenient; convince, reprimand, encourage through all patience. 2 Tim 4:2
